I have been tutoring elementary, secondary, high school and college students for over eight years, primarily in Mathematics and Science. Currently I tutor students privately in beginner to advanced levels of Spanish, Geometry, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Reading and Writing. I have also tutored Biology and Mathematics at San Jacinto College. Furthermore, I was adjunct faculty and faculty tutor at Houston Community College, Southwest College, teaching General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Environmental Science. I have tutored tutored students in several subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus,Medical Spanish, Functional and Academic ESL, SAT/ACT Math. Additionally, I have earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Houston and a doctorate in Medicine, from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. Although I am a native speaker of Spanish, I became fluent in writing and speaking Spanish while studying for four years in Mexico. Plus, I have earned the designation of Certified Tutor, Advanced Level, from the College Reading and Learning Association. I qualified for this title while tutoring at San Jacinto College. Teaching and Tutoring has been my life for the past eight years and will continue to be so. My knowledge in the Sciences and Spanish has grown tremendously as a result of teaching and the preparation necessary to teach effectively. Also, I have gained insight about how students learn and which teaching tools and methods are effective for various grade levels.
